ITS Academy of Beauty Helps Host Event That Offers Free Back-To-School Haircuts For Boys

Denton, Texas (PRWEB) July 30, 2007- Boys in grades K-12 can go back to school sporting a cool, new haircut thanks to local barbers, ITS Academy of Beauty and the sorority sisters of the Zeta Upsilon Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi.

From noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 26, barbers will be on hand at ITS Academy of Beauty, 1010 W. University in Denton to provide free haircuts as part of a service event sponsored by the Kappa Alpha Psi sorority. ITS Academy of Beauty will also give each boy a bottle of shampoo and conditioner.

ITS Academy of Beauty will offer the use of their facility (which is normally closed on Sundays), area barbers will donate their time and tools, and the Sorority will provide towels, cleaning supplies, refreshments and sanitizer. The Kappa Kuts is an annual service event sponsored by the Zeta Upsilon Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi.

"After working form many years in the cosmetology industry I've learned that when you look your best, you feel more confident, and consequently perform better in school or on the job," said Gwen Lawson, director of ITS Academy of Beauty in Denton. "Starting the school year off with a new hair cut is a great way to get these boys off to a great start. We are pleased to be a part of Zappa Alpha Psi's service event and wish them all the success in the world."
