Lovers Lane, Dallas, TX. The event will include shopping, cocktails and hors d'oeuvres as well as foot massages by Sacred Art Thai Massage. A percentage of the afternoon's sales will be donated to Attitudes and Attire, the organization which promotes personal growth for women seeking self-sufficiency.
Co-founders of shuzsociety? Cindy Marshall and Joni Marshall Floyd will attend the event and creator and founder of his eponymous store Steven Spodek will host. World-renowned shoe designer Angelo Anastasio will fly in from Europe for a special appearance.
Born in southern Italy, Anastasio arrived in the U.S. in 1966 and in 1973 was awarded a soccer scholarship to Adelphi University. He earned a spot on the famed soccer team, the New York Cosmos, alongside the legendary Pele in the 1970's. His love of the sports world led to a marketing position at Adidas where he ultimately became Business Manager for Global Events. In 1992, Anastasio was appointed V.P., Entertainment and Promotional Events for World Cup U.S.A. and then headed to Diadora America to become V.P. of Design. He took over as head of Design and Development at Fila, Inc. in 1993 and in 2000 he took over the reins at Reebok International, Inc. as V.P. of Design and Development. In 2003 Warnaco tapped him to head up their Speedo division as V.P. of Design and Development where he remained until the time had come to pursue his own private label. In 2006, Anastasio launched the Angeleigh Anastasio collection, the ultimate in fashionable, feminine footwear. Designed and manufactured in Italy, the line is comprised of tall boots, high-heeled pumps and elegant sandals, all crafted in the finest leather and fabric available. The designs range from $300 to $800 and exemplify Anastasio's creativity at its best.
