The Breakers Resort's Palmetto Tower to Host "Palmetto - Then and Now" Package in Celebration of 35th Anniversary

Myrtle Beach, SC (PRWEB) April 11, 2008 -- The Breakers Resort, one of Myrtle Beach, S.C.'s finest oceanfront resorts, will offer the "Palmetto - Then and Now" package for 35 days from April 13 to May 18 to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Palmetto Tower, which recently completed a $1.8 million renovation. This family-friendly package will include four nights of oceanfront accommodations in the Palmetto Tower; three nights at the regular resort rate and one night at a rate of $19.73 - paying homage to the year the Palmetto Tower first opened. The package will also include breakfast every morning as well as a 1973 themed gift basket which includes a CD of disco music, a bottle of champagne and two commemorative champagne glasses as well as other '70s inspired items.

In 2007, the Palmetto Tower underwent an extensive renovation. Sparing no details, the entire interior and exterior of the Palmetto Tower was renovated including all guest rooms and suites, elevators, hallways and vending rooms as well as the exterior facade. The newly renovated Palmetto Tower now features an exclusive Founders Suite which was created in honor of Vernon Brake, general manager and developing partner at The Breakers for more than 33 years. Brake, now retired from his position at The Breakers, played an integral role in the development and prosperity of the resort.
